About George E. Pattison

Experience is about more than just years in practice. It’s also about what you do with those years. By either standard, I suspect that few attorneys are as experienced as I, George E. Pattison, am. Learn more about my background and qualifications through the link to my résumé below:

I Worked As A Judge

From 2011 through 2015, I served as one of three elected judges in the Clermont County Municipal Court. The court decided about 40,000 cases each year, including criminal and civil matters, and operated a probation department of 21 members. The position was demanding, and my knowledge was essential to the integrity of the court.

I Worked As A Prosecutor

From 1975 through 1988, I worked for Clermont County as an assistant prosecuting attorney and then in the elected role of county prosecutor. My responsibilities included leading an office that employed 15 attorneys and 15 secretaries and clerks. The office was responsible for handling all misdemeanor and felony prosecutions and providing civil representation for nearly all political subdivisions in Clermont County. From these positions, I gained invaluable experience that I still apply to my clients’ cases in my private defense practice.

My Private Practice Is Well Established

Since 1972, I have consistently been engaged in private practice, except when I was an acting judge. In addition to my criminal defense work, I also practice extensively within the realm of civil law.

I Believe In Community Involvement

In what little free time I have had, I have also served my community through involvement in various civic organizations and activities. Although my affiliations are too numerous to list here, they include work with churches, mental health organizations, legal mentoring programs, community safety and law enforcement groups, citizen advisory boards, Rotary International and the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce. I have also been involved in politics at the local and state levels.
